Loved this piece. Thanks for the recommendations. Alcaraz is so special. Hope to watch him live someday. Have to read the Phelps book. Loved the Agassi book. We talked about autobiographies briefly. But I really enjoyed these cricket autobiographies.

1) Coming back to me by Marcus Trescothick

2) No Spin by Shane Warne

3) To the Point by Herschelle Gibbs

4) Sultan by Wasim Akram

5) Imperfect by Sanjay Manjrekar

Would love any other recommendations from you.

Thanks, Abhishek! Andrea Pirlo and Dennis Bergkamp wrote very good ones. Steve Waugh and Ponting too, although there is a lot more dipping into the Australian team culture.

It's an amazing book! Like most things written by Rohit Brijnath anyway haha.

Great piece, the pressure is huge especially for a 21 year old kid, navigating everyone wanting a piece of him whilst staying true to himself, all whilst growing up, for this angle you may be interested to read this: https://open.substack.com/pub/tennischampions/p/the-apprenticeship-of-carlos-alcaraz?r=pacry&utm_medium=ios

Such a thought provoking piece. It is challenging my conditioned beliefs about the path to the top for sure. So well written, Sarthak.
